I resigned from my job as a Town Planner in 2009. Now I write short stories and poetry and live within the traditional lands of the Ngambri and Ngunnawal people. I have won several local writing awards and have short stories included in various anthologies. In 2019 I completed the ACTWriters Hard Copy Program and co-judged Tanka society of America's annual tanka competition.

My tanka poems and prose appear regularly in Australian and international journals and anthologies. In 2020 I was awarded first prize in the English section of the Japan/ Australia Tanka competition and in 2022 my story 'A Lucky War' was awarded first prize in the Port Writers 2022 fiction competition. My poems have also featured Grieve and in Liquid Amber, Calanthe Press and the University of Canberra Poetry competitions. Recently I edited the Tanka Society of America 2025 Member’s Anthology.
